World Championship free for junior players

Ice Hockey UK is offering junior players free admission to the 2017 IIHF Ice Hockey World Championship Division I Group B in Belfast.

Ice Hockey UK is proud to offer junior hockey players across the UK the opportunity to watch Great Britain in action at the IIHF World Hockey Championship in Belfast.

All junior members of IHUK will be offered free entrance to cheer on GB at the SSE Arena for the six-team tournament from Sunday 23rd to Saturday 29th April 2017.

GB will take on Croatia, Estonia, Japan, Netherlands and Lithuania as they look to secure promotion to Division 1A.

Richard Grieveson, IHUK chairman, said: “This is a massive moment for ice hockey in the UK and we are excited to offer all of our young hockey players in the UK the opportunity to come and cheer on their country on home soil.

“This is chance to watch the best of British ice hockey and cheer on the UK’s premier hockey players.

“It has been 25 years since the UK hosted a men’s World Championship and we are thrilled that we will be doing so again.”

EIHA-registered junior players looking to reserve tickets need to provide their registration ID number at time of booking to SSE Arena Belfast box office at on 028 9073 9074.
